Our Mission
There are few things that can inspire and touch the hearts of people like music. Our goal is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ with a simple, but powerful blend of truth and harmony. We also want to encorage others to sing. Singing is one of the best ways to bring people together, and to glorify God. Get involved with other people and form singing groups. We think it will be one of the most rewarding things you have done.
If you happen to hear our music, or see us in person, please remember the reason we sing. That reason is Jesus Christ, for without Him, we are nothing.

History
In July of 2002, Branton Hoblit, Clem Flory and Dylan Wagoner attended a Christian camp in the mountains of California. The three loved to sing, and they found some other young men who did too. Throughout that week, they practiced throughout the day and sang for the other 200-some campers in the evenings. Branton, Clem and Dylan loved it so much, that when they returned back to Ohio, they vowed to start a quartet. In August they gave Grant Rogers a call, and he agreed to join. They endeavored to be a contemporary Christian A Cappella quartet, and remained nameless for about 5 months.
In the winter of 2002/03, the group wanted a fifth member. Rodney Deaton joined soon after, and the group was christened "Five Alive". Also that winter, a PA system was purchased to facilitate live performances. Five Alive became a favorite of company Christmas', youth gatherings, camps and other such events. They took nearly every opportunity to sing anytime, anywhere, for anyone. In the spring of 2004, Brandon Brubaker became their soundman, and they honed their live performances even more. In late spring, Branton, Rodney, and Grant felt the calling of other duties, and wanted to take a break. Brandon moved to California that summer, so it was down to Clem and Dylan.
Roland Filbrun and Aaron Hoblit were good friends of Clem and Dylan, and very prolific song composers. Clem and Dylan asked them to prayerfully consider joining them to make a quartet. They both had a wife and kids (something Dylan and Clem lack at the moment), and they all knew what a commitment like this would mean. Finally, when the four rose from their knees, they decided to give God a chance. A slew of names were thrown around for the quartet, but one jumped out at them. It is directly based off of 1 Corinthians 2:2 "For I have determined to know nothing among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified". The message is powerful, and encapsulates the ministry of Cor22.
We don't know where God is leading us, but we have felt a calling to minister and lift up others. We all have been negatively affected by secular music in one way or another. The Devil certainly has his music with his doctrine infused into it. We want to give a fresh, new alternative. We want every song we sing to be a part of us, and what we believe. God's music is different than the cheap alternative we find in the world. God's music glorifies, lifts up, praises, reforms, and shouts truth loud and clear! We pray often for God to put His words into our songs, and for His spirit to blend His marvelous truth with our feeble harmony.
